Today they did the block construction of the chimney. They did the angled part in a novel way. They built up several courses of flat wall, and then leaned the whole thing around a temporary wooden form. This will give it a nice even surface for the stucco. The sides of the chimney will also angle. You can see where they have drawn lines on the face, and they will cut those side angles.
They also grouted the flagstone in the outer patio, and gave it an acid wash to make it match the existing flagstone.
